Post No Bills - An entertainment high-flier
With a creative name, amazing products, and some of the biggest clients in the entertainment industry, Post No Bills has catapulted itself into the world of merchandising, marketing, and promotion.
From its moderately sized office at 801 Gervais St. in Columbia’s Vista, Post No Bills has produced work for television networks such as TBS, TNT, and AMC, as well as top movie studios like DreamWorks, Paramount, and Universal Studios. Projects have ranged from creating promotional materials for movies like Shrek, Disturbia, and Almost Famous, to working closely with the United States Olympic Committee.
‘Creativity in motion’
Doreen Sullivan, president and creator of Post No Bills, opened her business in May 2003 with a desire to create art in a
small, urban environment. Its motto, “creativity in motion,” effectively describes this goal-oriented company.
The self-described family business is comprised of a creative staff that expertly coordinates to produce quality work with
a fast response time.
Sullivan, who has lived and worked in New York and Los Angeles, finds Southern living and working more appealing. “I love it here,” she says. “My last trip to L.A., I couldn’t wait to get home. It just shows me how much my heart is in this community. You miss the thread of loyalty that’s in Columbia.”
Most of Post No Bills’ creative staff was recruited from the University of South Carolina, but Sullivan hopes to recruit more staff from other areas, riding the momentum of new opportunities, businesses, and talent Innovista is bringing to the Columbia area.
More work to do
In the future, Post No Bills hopes to open offices throughout the country, but it has no desire to leave Columbia. Local business
is abundant, and the current location provides immediate access to the downtown area.
And much like any thriving business, Post No Bills’ work is never done. “I would love to continue to develop and grow creative services in Columbia,” Sullivan says.
