Moore School earns top international-business ranking for 19th consecutive year
The International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program at the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, is the nation’s top-ranked public university MBA program for international business and No. 2 among all institutions in that specialty, according to U.S.News & World Report.
This marks the 19th consecutive year that Moore’s IMBA program has been ranked either No. 1 or No. 2. Rounding out the top 10 is the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) in third place, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (Ross) in fourth, Duke University (Fuqua) in fifth, Columbia University in sixth, Harvard University and New York University, which tied for seventh, the University of Southern California (Marshall) in ninth and the University of California-Berkeley (Haas) in the 10th spot. Thunderbird School of Global Management (Garvin) of Arizona led the rankings.
The ranking appears in the 2009 issue of U.S.News & World Report’s "America’s Best Graduate Schools," available on newsstands March 31.

To calculate the specialty rankings – such as international business – magazine researchers asked for expert opinion from business school deans and MBA program heads across the nation.
In August 2007, the Moore School was ranked No. 1 in undergraduate international business for the 11th year by U.S.News & World Report in its annual survey, "America’s Best Colleges Guide."
Each year, U.S. News releases rankings of the graduate schools. Some are new rankings, and others are rankings from previous years. Business is among the new rankings. Previous rankings, which are also included, are the No. 2 ranking of the School Library Media Program in the university’s School of Library and Information Science and the No. 8 ranking for health librarianship.
